Plain text matches exactly what you type in the Find field. Regular expression mode treats the Find value as a pattern, so symbols like . * [] and () have special meaning.
Regex mode already gives explicit control over matching behavior through regex syntax and flags. To keep the UI minimal and predictable, case sensitivity is only shown for plain text matching.
When enabled, every match in the input is replaced. When disabled, only the first match is replaced and the rest of the text stays unchanged.
Red highlights show text segments in the original input that were matched and replaced, so you can quickly verify what was removed or transformed.
